Half Lies
If more than one alter is co-fronting at the same time and one has a difference of opinion, either “truth” will come out as a partial lie. It doesn’t matter which is the alter who is controlling the body, as long as both are there, you get this effect. You will be able to hear that it is a partial lie because it sounds like part truth and part lie, depending on the ratio of alters who believe it.
Accidental Lies
If the secondary alter doesn’t share their opinion in time as a thought, either because they don’t have the internal connection or they don’t have time, the partial lie will be by accident because the personalities won't have time to come to a consensus. “Compulsive liars” who admit to accidentally lying may be multiples instead and doing it unintentionally.
Speak For Me
Sometimes, an alter won't come to the front to say their truth. This is either because they can't because the current fronting personality won't let them, or they don't want to. They remain in the background so another alter says what they want for them. This will sound like a partial lie because the alter who is saying it doesn't think it is true for them.
